We are happy to have Father Davis Koottala here with us at St.Patricks, as our Parochial Vicar. Originally from India, Father Davis has been in the United States sharing his faith with lucky parishioners in Alabama, and now here in Grass Valley and Nevada City! He is of the Syro-Malabar Rite, (Catholic, with a few differences!) and we anxiously await his permissions from Rome to celebrate Mass in the Roman Catholic Rite. If you see him, stop and introduce yourself, he is a very joyful addition to our Parish, and would love to meet you!

As Father Estrella mentioned in his Pastor's Ponderings last week, we have been blessed with a Seminarian to spend a semester with us. Scott Whittaker is from the St. Patrick's Seminary and University in Menlo Park, California, and will be with us until January. He has three more years left in his studies. Be sure to stop and welcome him, he is a man of great knowledge and deep faith. I am sure we will learn as much from him
